Precious white metals, such as white gold, are the metals of choice when setting diamonds.

A premium is applied to diamonds that possess rare white colour, so it makes little sense to diminish this expensive characteristic by introducing coloured gold.

Diamonds can take on a colour tint from surrounding settings, so are almost exclusively set in white metal, to enhance the whiteness of the stone.

White gold rings can be worn effortlessly in-ring stacks as it partners easily with yellow and rose gold to create striking contrasts.

Originally developed in the 1920s as a more cost-effective alternative to platinum, white gold has become an extremely popular choice. Unlike platinum, gold does not naturally occur white.

White gold is an alloy of metals containing a combination of gold and other
metals which give it colour and strength. All our white gold pieces are nickel free and comply with EU Directives.

White gold is traditionally plated with rhodium to provide a hard and durable bright, white finish.

More recently, jewellers have experimented with the rhodium plating, using dramatic colours, including black, to create striking contrasts in designs.

All pieces are hallmarked in accordance with the 1973 Hallmarking Act.
